Phosphorous
Function
Phosphorus is a mineral mostly in the bones and teeth, and some is in our genes. The body needs phosphorus to make energy and to carry out many important chemical processes.

Food sources
Phosphorous is mostly found in
- Dairy products
- Legumes (Lentils, kidney beans, and peas)
- Grain products
- Meats, poultry, fish, and eggs
- Potatoes
- Nuts and seeds
Deficiency
Phosphorous deficiency results in following issues
- Loss of appetite
- Soft and deformed bones
- Anemia
- Higher risk of infection
- Muscle weakness
- Bone pain
